ALA.NI / MUSICIAN
Born in London to Grenadian -immigrant parents, Ala.ni grew up listening to a very eclectic spectrum of music. Acca, her second album got released in 2020. Even though Iggy Pop made an appearance, all songs have been written arranged and produced by her “so it’s a pure extension of who I am", creating for the listener an immersive, hypnotic world that blurs the lines...
Accompanied by harp and guitar or working a capella, she escapes the specific jazz connotations, creating de facto, her style of writing and singing songs
Ala.ni is a very chilled, melancholic - but with a good sense of humour - professional human being, as she defines herself.. She currently works on 6 different projects. Stay tune for more...

DRUMMER / ARTIST / COMPOSER
Berlin-based artist Katharina Ernst started playing the drums at age nine, with an early focus on polymetric, odd and chaotic structures. She studied abstract painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and simultaneously started touring worldwide with projects in the music and performance context.
Katharina has already put out a number of records. The list of her collaborations is long and diverse, lately including composing for dance companies (Kate McIntosh, 2020/21) and theatre (Deutsches Theater, 2021).
In her own work, she puts emphasis on transgressing the fields of music, fine arts and choreography, celebrating a hybrid notion of the term "composition“.
